Wanda Cryogenic Insulation Perlite:
(Expanded perlite for ultra-low temperature and super-strength engineering) is a product obtained by heating and expanding selected small particles of ore sand in a vertical shaft kiln using natural gas as a heat source. The reinforced product is sprayed with silicone on the surface of expanded perlite to form Hydrophobic structure. The color, bulk density and specifications of the product are similar to ordinary expanded perlite. This product is mainly used in the construction of insulation layers for large ultra-low temperature thermal projects, such as oxygen air separation units, natural gas, liquid hydrogen, liquid nitrogen, liquid oxygen refrigerated transport vehicles and ships, etc. This product has good ultra-low temperature insulation performance
1 Review
1.1 Pearlescent sand, also known as expanded perlite, is made from glassy mountain rock after crushing and high-temperature roasting. It appears as white round beads and loose particles. Non-toxic, odorless, non-flammable, non-corrosive. Because it has extremely low thermal conductivity and reliable chemical stability, good filling fluidity and extremely low bulk density;
1.2 Most of the cold insulation materials filled in the cold storage boxes of air separation equipment are pearlescent sand. The particle size of pearlescent sand is generally 0.05~1mm, and the looseness is 45~80kg/m3. It is easy to fly, irritates the throat and eyes, and is easily inhaled into the lungs. People who fall into its layer will be submerged and suffocated;
1.3 Operators should strictly abide by operating procedures during the loading and unloading process to prevent accidents.
2Safety preparations
2.1 Take measures such as erecting fences or ropes to close the site to remind people not related to the construction that they are not allowed to enter, and set up warning signs in danger-prone areas;
2.2 Designate safety monitors and wear self-contained breathing apparatus to provide rescue and respond to emergencies when necessary;
2.3 Operators must receive safety education and safety tips before entering the construction site, and obey supervision and instructions during construction;
2.4 When operators enter the construction site, they must wear PPE equipment as required and are not allowed to smoke in no-smoking areas;
2.5 Electrical and mechanical operation and maintenance personnel have received professional training and are familiar with equipment operation and maintenance procedures, as well as the structure, performance, operating methods and safety requirements of construction tools. The use of unqualified tools is strictly prohibited;
2.6 Strictly implement the rules and regulations on fire use, strictly implement the relevant approval authority, and go through the fire permit procedures before construction. Equip fire extinguishing equipment and place it in an obvious position; 2.7 Construction power lines should be well insulated, and electrical equipment should be equipped with leakage protectors and grounding protection.
3. Pearlescent sand filling
3.1 Develop a filling construction plan;
3.2 Check to ensure that the pearlescent sand used for filling is dry. Construction on rainy days is strictly prohibited;
3.3 The tools used for filling should be clean and free of oil;
3.4 Determine the number of filling operators and divide them into groups. Each group should be no less than two;
3.5 Confirm that the guardians are equipped as required and are in place at the scene. Other personnel are strictly prohibited from entering the filling site without permission;
3.6 Confirm that all operators involved have received safety education and are aware of the dangers at work;
3.7 Before filling, check the quality of the pearlescent sand. The compacted density is 40-80kg/m3, the moisture content is less than 0.5%, and the specifications meet the quality requirements.
